Air Conditioning or even Climate Control is now pretty much standard on every car. It makes driving more pleasurable by making the cabin a nicer place to be, whether it's a really hot day, just a humid day or even in the winter it helps prevent the windows from steaming up!

  

But did you know that Air Con is not a fit & forget option. Just like your engine, it requires regular servicing to ensure it doesn't fail prematurely. Additionally, regular servicing will keep the air con working at it's most efficient & will also save you fuel, as the system isn't having to work so hard to keep you cool, so it doesn't draw so much power from the engine.

  

To ensure your air con is kept in tip top condition, we can visit you at your home or work premises to carry out a full service on your system using our state of the art service machines.

  

A full service consists of removing any existing refrigerant from the system, along with any lubricating oil that is withdrawn with it. The refrigerant is then cleaned & recycled for environmental reasons, the oil has to be scrapped as it is not reusable. We then vacuum the system into a deep vacuum, this boils off any moisture in the system that can cause problems. We then add the correct amount of oil & dye for the system (dye is used to make finding any leaks the system may have easier) we then refill the system with the correct WEIGHT of refrigerant (weight is the correct measurement as pressure is temperature dependent).

  

If your system happens to have a leak or if any futher work is necessary, such as a change of receiver dryer, we will let you know before carrying out any further work.
