XENON HID Conversions

Some new cars are now fitted with Xenon HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps, these lamps differ greatly from the traditional Halogen lamps most cars already have fitted, they use a technology that employs a very high voltage from an igniter unit, to strike up an arc inside a glass envelope filled with a xenon gas, the resulting glow in the gas is three or more times brighter than traditional filament type headlight bulbs. Until recently these HID lamps have been the preserve of high end marques or top of the range models. 

Fortunately, now, virtually any car can be fitted with this new technology, making it possible for you to have brighter, whiter lights. These make night time driving safer & driving in poor weather much safer. They can also help you avoid driving fatigue at night, as your eyes are not having to work so hard to see where you are going.

Believe it or not, these conversions actually use slightly less power than your existing lights, so you will save a small amount of fuel as well. This also has the effect of meaning the lights stay cooler, as more of the electricity is turned to light rather than heat. This lower heat means that your lamp lenses will last longer & discolour less than with conventional bulbs.

We can either sell you a set of these lamps to fit yourself, they're not that difficult to do, providing you have a reasonable level of vehicle & electrical knowledge, OR we can fit the kits for you for a fee, please ask how much a kit for your car is - fitted.

We can either come to you (distance allowing) to fit these units, we are fully insured, or you can visit us & we will fit them whilst you pop into Staines for a bit of shopping.

 

For you guys that want an even more powerful lamp, for show purposes of course, we can offer lamps up to 12000K colour temperature, they are on the edge of being purple, they look great in your show cars, we can even do you a kit that has the 12000K bulbs for shows, then you swap them back to the 6000K for the road, save you getting tugged by Mr. Plod. Unfortunately there are some vehicles that require fitting adaptors or warning lamp cancelers, but we can discuss these 'extras' with you when you call.
