So! How Does The Reiner 3000 Work!
The Reiner 3000 works by using a number of sensors, all connected to the simple to use handset. The operator then simply keys in some important vehicle details & carries out a 0-62 Mph (0-100 Kmh) test run. Within a couple of second of completing the test run, the Reiner has calculated the vehicle power output.
The handset will store up to four power runs, once completed, simply plug the handset into your PC or laptop to review & printout the results, including graphs & figures, for professional results every time.
The techie bit!
The Reiner 3000 does nothing that is rocket science, what it does do is bring together many sensors in one package & then unite them with some clever calculating to achieve extremely accurate results. With correct data input, the results from Reiner 3000 are at least as accurate as any rolling road.
To achieve these fantastic results the Reiner 3000 has sensors for: G force (built into the unit), vehicle speed (using an external optical pickup, which is mounted to the side of the car using a very powerful 'over centre' suction cup), humidity, temperature & atmospheric pressure sensors (absolutely essential for accurate results to EWG standards, as we all know, the power & torque an engine produces is dependent on atmospheric conditions) and there is the option of using the 16 pin EOBD socket to pick up engine speed data (this allows torque to be accurately calculated as well).
Of course the unit also needs a bit of programming by the operator as well, simply enter the vehicle's weight, passenger weight, vehicle height & width, fuel quantity in the tank, the type of fuel the car uses, whether it's 2 or 4 wheel drive, whether it is a saloon, sports or off roader & the total wheel diameter. Then you are ready to do a simple 0-62 acceleration. Once this is done it will give you your results.
All of this is achievable in around the same time it takes to strap a car down to a conventional rolling road dyno.
